Summary of "The Complete 1st Season - I call 9mm":
I was intrigued by the idea of a Terminator TV series; the movies were good, with lots of action and special effects, and I wanted to see how that would translate to the small screen. I heard lots of buzz about it at Comic Con last year, though I missed the panel. Like most shows, I skipped the broadcasts of the show in favor of a disc release, and I'm glad I did. Those 9 episodes went by in less than 2 days; my viewing was hampered a little bit by other things I had to do, otherwise I would have watched them all in one day. The show got off to an explosive start, and immediately grabbed my attention. Sure, some of the episodes in the middle were a bit slow, but hey, you can't win them all. I should also admit to being a bit leery of Brian Austin Green (yes, the Austin is back in his name), the 90210 alum, appearing in the show, but he's great! He's matured a lot from his days playing David, and I really like him in the role of Derek Reese. Looks like Ian Ziering is the only male 90210 cast member not to appear in a sci-fi TV series (voicing Biker Mice From Mars doesn't count).

Warner Bros has put together a nice package for the show, offering fans various types of bonus material. The featurettes, "Creating the Chronicles," offer good interviews with the cast and crew; the commentary tracks are insightful and fun, and the other material (gag reel, audition tapes, and extended cut of an episode) round out the set.

This set actually has me considering tuning in for the second season on TV; guess we'll have to wait a year to see what I did. (read entire review)
