Summary of "Universal Classic Television - Spooky!": I really, really enjoyed this show, and I had high expectations after hearing about it from some fans. I was a tad worried that the monsters would be cheesy instead of scary, but that wasn't the case. In fact, some of them were so scary that my girlfriend yelped a few times while we were watching the episodes, and she complained about vampire dreams the next day. I thought the show was an excellent combination of horror, comedy, great writing, and even better acting. ABC premiered a new Kolchak series last week, and fans of the original say it doesn't compare to the 1974 series. I doubt I'll watch it, unless it lasts long enough to hit DVD.
