Last weekend we had the pleasure of bring you a 3-part special report with in-depth details about the upcoming DVD sets of
The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, with lots of revelations about
Volume 1,
Volume 2 and
Volume 3. If you've missed them at the time, be sure to catch them all now...especially the third part, which not only has the detailed list of episodes and bonus historical documents (like the other two do for their volumes), but also has our first look at the special "historical interactive DVD timeline" feature that spans all of these releases.
In the second part, about
The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles - Volume 2: The War Years we had your first look at early cover art for that package. Now Paramount has sent out the final version of that package art, and we've got a great high-resolution, 3-D look at it for you below.
We've also confirmed that the second volume will be a 9-DVD set running 726 minutes for the episodes. Wait...the first volume is 649 minutes but takes up 12 discs, so what's the difference? Well, the first set has 7 episodes and 38 historical documentaries, but the second set has 8 episodes (so a longer official running time) and only 26 historical documentaries (so a smaller overall disc count). We don't have a disc count yet for the third volume, but we expect it to be between nine and twelve, considering a count of 7 episodes and 31 historical doc's.
You can
pre-order Volume 2 from Amazon for $90.99 right now, and it will ship on
December 18th. The third volume won't be out until the Springtime, just in front of the May 22nd theatrical debut of
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Here's that box art for Volume 2:
