Fiona Wallice is a therapist with no patience. Tired of hearing about people's dreams and feelings for fifty long minutes at a stretch, she devises a new kind of treatment, the three-minute video chat. And still, the sessions end up being largely about her. Emmy Award winner Lisa Kudrow co-created, produces and stars in this outrageous therapeutic send-up. Originally produced as a series of webisodes, WEB THERAPY features a unique visual format and an A-list guest cast who, along with Kudrow, improvises their performances with hilarious results.
Showtime's television series
Web Therapy, starring
Friends alumni Lisa Kudrow, actually DID start life on the web, as an "internet series" in 2008. In 2011, Showtime decided to air the webisodes, but with additional footage shot exclusively for the TV broadcast versions of the episodes. 10 episodes were shown between July and September of last year, and a second season is on the way to Showtime this summer. In the meantime,
Web Therapy - The Complete 1st Season is coming to DVD on
June 19th, according to the pre-order listing at Amazon (see button link below). Cost shown is $29.98 SRP for a 2-disc set, and the cover art shown at Amazon is reproduced at the bottom.
