No specific release date yet for the program starring the fabulous Dick Van Dyke

Van Dyke and Company, the NBC network's 1976 variety show starring Dick Van Dyke (The Dick Van Dyke Show, Mary Poppins), is being planned for DVD according to one of our most reliable industry sources. Look for a 2010 release of the short-lived series, which ran on the peacock network for just 15 hour-long installments. Andy Kaufman (Taxi) was a recurring cast member on this program, and guest stars included Flip Wilson, Chevy Chase, John Denver, Mary Tyler Moore, Carl Reiner, Lucille Ball, Richard Kiel and more. Behind-the-camera talent producing the show and writing the sketches included the likes of Allan Blye (The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour), Pat Proft (the Police Academy films), Bob Einstein (Bizarre's "Super Dave Osborne"), Don Novello (Saturday Night Live's "Father Guido Sarducci") and others. This info about this title is very early, and we don't have a more specific timeframe yet for this release, but we'll fill you in as we find out more. Stay tuned!
