A couple of weeks ago we had
the heads-up from show Creator Josh Friedman that Warner Home Video will release
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - The Complete 1st Season to home video, probably in
August. He talked about extras that the cast and crew, including himself, had participated in for Commentary Tracks and what he referred to as "mini-documentaries" (probably featurettes). Now we have new information about this, courtesy of giant e-tailer Amazon.com!
This morning we noticed (as did some sharp-eyed readers; thanks for writing in!) that Amazon had added pre-order listings for both a
DVD release *AND* a
Blu-ray Disc release of
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - The Complete 1st Season. Neither listing gives any release date information just yet. Still, both listings will accept your pre-order purchase right now, promising that Amazon "will deliver it to you when it arrives."
Cost for the high-definition version is shown as $39.99 SRP in that listing, and you can
pre-order the Blu-ray now and lock it in for just $27.95! If you need the standard version instead, the list price is $29.98 as shown there, and the discounted cost if you
pre-purchase the DVD right away is $26.99.
Amazon is currently showing an entire gallery of advertising pictures used to promote the show, and the DVD/Blu-ray package art could use the same key art as any of these...or none of them. Stay tuned and we'll bring you the exact box art, and the exact release date, once Warner makes them available!
