Two weeks ago we
reported that
Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye is coming to DVD, per the show's official website. The 2002 series, starring Deanne Bray (who's a new addition to the cast of NBC's
Heroes), had a 3-season run on the PAX TV channel. Fans have been anxious for more info, and we've got a little bit more for you this afternoon!
We're told that "
things are moving forward with the release," and that they should be available
in the next 2-3 weeks. Late last week the powers that be were, according to posts on Twitter, looking at possible box layouts/designs, written copy, and even video clips for possible commercials. We're told that these DVDs will not be sold in stores, but will be available in a form of direct sell. Details about that aren't ready yet, but anyone interested in buying the DVDs is urged to
fill out the form at the official website.
A significant number of
Sue Thomas fans have also asked us about what they refer to as the "companion" show,
Doc. That series also ran on PAX TV, and the first season got
a DVD release in 2004 (from the now-defunct Ventura Distribution), but nothing since then. Folks are hoping that the same people working on
Sue Thomas will tackle
Doc next. Unfortunately, that won't be the case. We asked, and they told us "
unfortunately, we do not own the DVD distribution rights for 'Doc' so do not have control over releasing 'Doc' on DVD."
Stay tuned for updates about
Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye on DVD...soon!
