Today sees the release of
Stargate SG-1 - Season 10 on DVD, the final season of the long-running show. It's been pretty unstoppable all these years, so why stop now? Inside the set is an insert, seen below, which promotes the direct-to-DVD release of
Stargate SG-1 - The Ark of Truth. This new story will wrap up the "Ori" storyline that had been brewing for two seasons, and will ship in
2008.
But wait, there's more! Later in 2008, there will also be another
Stargate SG-1 direct-to-DVD production, called
Continuum. Suffice it to say that someone is going back in time to make sure that the SG-1 squad never assembles in the first place...and our heroes have to stop that person's history-changing plans! Both of these productions could potentially air on television, too, but right now that decision hasn't been made. The main cast will return for both features, even Amanda Tapping (who is joining the
Stargate: Atlantis series, as you probably know).
