Star Trek: The Next Generation - Trailer, Early Art, Timeframe for 'Season 6' Blu-ray...with Scotty!

James Doohan guest stars in 'Relics' on this early summer release

Posted by David Lambert
Paramount Home Entertainment hasn't formally announced the title yet, but the studio has begun circulating a 2-minute trailer promoting the Blu-ray Disc release of Star Trek: The Next Generation - Season 6. A specific street date hasn't been provided yet, but you can expect the title to be in stores this June.

The episodes in this next-to-last season include the conclusion of "Time's Arrow" (where the crew meets Samual Clemons/Mark Twain and we learn of Picard's special history with Guinan, played by Whoopi Goldberg), "Relics" (guest starring James Doohan in his classical Star Trek role as "Scotty"), "True Q" (where John de Lancie's "Q" comes to claim a lost member of the Q Continuum, played by Olivia d'Abo of The Wonder Years), "Rascals" (Adam Nimoy, son of Leonard, directs this story about Picard and three others physically becoming pre-teens again after a mishap with the transporter), "A Fistful of Datas" (Worf and his son, Alexander, on a holodeck adventure in the old west), the two-part "Chain of Command" (guest starring David Warner and Ronny Cox in a story where Picard is held captive and tortured), "Ship in a Bottle" (featuring the return of "Moriarty" from the second season), "Tapestry" (where Q helps Picard re-examine his reckless youth), the two-part "Birthright" (guest starring Deep Space Nine cast including Alexander Siddig as Dr. Julian Bashir), "Starship Mine" (guest starring future Star Trek: Voyager star Tim Russ), "Rightful Heir" (a Klingon legend, Kahless, comes back to life), and "Descent, Part 1" (the Borg adventure featuring the return of Data's brother, Lore, as well as an appearance by Stephen Hawking).

Our thanks to reader Don Jariyasunant for his help with this story. Here's the trailer, and a picture of the package art we've extracted from that trailer (may not be final and could be subject to change):
