Three months ago fans were treated to
an inexpensive Blu-ray release titled "
Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Next Level, the first look at complete
TNG episodes in high definition. It was a rousing success, and our readers said they wanted more! And indeed, more was already known to be on-the-way: as we
reported a few days before that title hit stores, there's a trailer on board that said to expect
Star Trek: The Next Generation - Season 1 in a Blu-ray edition later this year. This morning CBS/Paramount formally announced the title, scheduling it for release on
July 24th! The studio hasn't provided any other details so far this morning (although we hope to find out more soon!), and neither did they provide package art. Below is another look at the

The Next Level release, but - as we said in our update to that previous story - the studio has advised us that it wasn't finalized at the time and could be extremely subject to change. Stay tuned for updates!
