A week and a half ago, Comedy Central/Paramount
announced the
October 7th release of
South Park - The Cult of Cartman, a 2-DVD collection of 12 of the best episodes featuring our favorite foul-mouthed fat little dude. Our previous report included a list of extras, but now we've got some additional info about those.
The info provided to retailers states that bonus material will include "Original Life Lessons Introduced by Eric Cartman"; we're not sure if this is a better description of the "Original DVD Introduction by Eric Cartman" mentioned in our previous list, or if it's something in addition to that. Also mentioned to retailers is an "Exclusive Membership Card for The Eric Theodore Cartman Society," which they say "will offer cool members-only online content".
We're not certain if this, or the previously mentioned material, are all quite finalized yet as far as the studio goes. Therefore, please take it all with a grain of salt.
Our retail contacts also forwarded us early cover art for
The Cult of Cartman, but - like the extras - we have no way to know if this is final yet. Our guess (especially with that possibly-Biblical reference to "Revelations") is that this is probably temp art and could be subject to change, but that's just a guess. Stay tuned and we'll update you when the studio provides us with more!
