we let you know that Amazon had begun taking pre-orders for
Smallville - The Complete 8th Season on standard
DVD and high-def
Blu-ray Disc, even though Warner Home Video hasn't officially announced these releases yet. Because of that, the listings don't include a release date, just a notice from Amazon for each one that "
you may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives." However, even though we still don't know when we'll get them, we do know what the packaging will look like! Amazon has now revised their DVD pre-release listing to include box art for that item, showing that six discs will be included with that set. We've also gotten an exclusive early first look at the Blu-ray Disc version of that same title, thanks to one of our own industry contacts (as with the last two season sets, it's the same key art as the DVD, just formatted for a Blu box). You'll find the pictures of both of them for you below, beginning with the DVD version. This still might be early art and subject to change, though, whenever Warner makes their official announcement, so stay tuned for further info.
