Video Business announced the winners of their annual DVDX awards, and there are two titles that TV fans will be interested in. The sixth season of
The Simpsons won for
Overall DVD, TV Program, while
Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story walked away with 3 awards, making it one of the hottest releases at the awards show.
Stewie Griffin won awards for
Overall Movie, Animated DVD Premiere,
Animated Character Performance (voice and animation in a DVD premiere movie) (Stewie Griffin, voice: Seth MacFarlane) and
Screenplay (for a DVD premiere movie) (Alex Borstein, Steve Callaghan, Gary Janetti and Chris Sheridan), and Video Business mentions that the title brought in $78.2 million in revenue! I wonder if they've already started on a new direct-to-DVD movie. Congrats to Fox for being the only studio to receive awards for TV product.
