ANIMATION EXPERT/AUTHOR JERRY BECK RETURNS TO "STU'S SHOW"
That high-pitched bird laugh and trail of spinach on the floor can only mean one thing - it's time for another Internet radio visit from the theatrical cartoon world's first and foremost expert: author Jerry Beck! Jerry will be the in-studio guest this Wednesday, June 4 for the weekly live edition of "Stu's Show" at 4:00 p.m. PDT (7:00 p.m. EDT) on Shokus Internet Radio ( www.shokusradio.com). Topics this time will include the recently-released DVD box set "Woody Woodpecker and Friends Volume 2", what to expect from the new Warner Brothers "Popeye Volume 2" box due out later this month (both of which Jerry personally supervised), and a continuation of an oral history of the Terrytoons cartoon studio. In addition, host Stu Shostak promises an "open forum"...meaning the phone lines will be available early in the show so listeners can ask Jerry anything about these and upcoming DVD releases as well as everything else on the topic of animation. Jerry is also the creative supervisor behind all of the "Looney Tunes Golden Collection" box sets, so we'll get a preview of the new set coming out this fall. He's also the author of over twelve books on the subject of animation. His latest, "The Hanna-Barbera Treasury" was just voted "Book of the Year" in the Pop Culture category at the annual Los Angeles Book Fair Expo.
"Stu's Show" airs live each Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. PDT on Shokus Internet Radio, with rebroadcasts at the same time daily.
