AgentDVD have teamed up once more to bring us the annual DVD Critics Award. For the 2009 voting, they are doing something new: letting somebody besides the critics pick some of the winners:
For the first time, the DVD Critics Awards are open to a consumer vote.
In addition to the regular categories for which winners are selected by a panel of judges, special categories have been created specifically for consumers, with nominees chosen from studio submissions to the DVD Critics Awards, and winners to be picked via an online vote held from Aug. 10-28.

Categories you can be involved in are "Funniest DVD/Blu-ray of 2008", "Best Action Title of 2008", "Best Period Piece of 2008", "Best Sci-Fi Title of 2008", "Best Western Title of 2008", "Best Superhero Title of 2008", "Best Single Extra" and a write-in category for "Favorite DVD/Blu-ray of 2008".
Many of the titles shown there are for film releases, but there are quite a few TV-DVD releases included in the voting selections. So head on over and make your voice heard!
