Back in June we
had the heads-up to expect this on
December 4th, and now it's official: Fox Home Entertainment has announced that
The Simpsons - The Complete 15th Season is indeed going to be in stores on that date, in the USA and Canada, on both DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc. This list of extras was provided:
- All Aboard with Matt
- The Unusual Ones
- Living in the Moment
- Audio Commentary on All Episodes
- Sketch Gallery I & II
- Animation Showcase
- Special Language Feature
- The Commercials
- Deleted Scenes
- Blu-ray Bonus Episodes:
- The Otto Show
- Das Bus
- It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Marge
- Easter Eggs
Video on this title (both versions) will be presented in the original full screen 1.33:1 aspect ratio. Audio is available on the Blu-ray in English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, Spanish 5.1 Dolby Digital, and French 5.1 Dolby Digital. On the DVD the soundtracks are in English 5.1 Dolby Digital, Spanish 2.0 Surround Dolby Digital, and French 2.0 Surround Dolby Digital. Both formats have English and Spanish subtitles, and the DVD also includes closed captioning.
Cost has not been revealed by the studio, but Amazon.ca continues to take pre-orders for north-of-the-border fans (CA$59.98 SRP for DVD, or CA$69.99 SRP for Blu-ray), at the button link seen below. Amazon.com, the USA-based branch of the big e-tailer, hasn't put entries up for this title so far, but stay tuned. Immediately below is the Otto-the-Busdriver themed package art for the Blu-ray version of
The Simpsons - The Complete 15th Season. DVD versions, including (we presume, anyway) a limited edition "head box" for fans who collect those, haven't had packaging images distributed just yet, but stay tuned for that as well.
