This past October saw the release of
Route 66 - Season 1, Volume 1 from Infinity Entertainment in conjunction with Roxbury Entertainment. Roxbury continues work on a
Route 66 major motion picture, but in the meantime they're moving forward with more episodes of the classic TV series starring Martin Milner and George Maharis.
A new
Amazon pre-order listing shows that
Route 66 - Season 1, Volume 2 is in the works, with a planned release date of
February 5th. This will be another 4-DVD set, this time with a running time of 840 minutes (about a half hour longer than the previous set). Episodes are once again shown in their original black-and-white full-screen presentations. Cost is $29.98 SRP, and you can pre-order at Amazon right now for just $20.99.
