About a month ago we
told you about the
February 5th scheduled date for the release of
Route 66 - Season 1, Volume 2. Now Roxbury Entertainment and distributor Infinity Entertainment have brought out the box art and the official list of details. The 4-DVD set will run 810 minutes (that's the correct running time; Amazon lists it as being a half-hour longer), showing the second group of 15 digitally remastered episodes. There are no extras included on this set. List price is $29.98, but you can
pre-order it from Amazon for $20.99. Here is the studio description, and the package art:
Now the second half of Route 66's first season is available for the first time and has been digitally transferred from the original masters. The television series, which aired 1960-64, is one of the most brilliant dramas to emerge from the '60s, famous for its catchy Nelson Riddle theme song, intriguing characters, top-drawer writing and stellar guest appearances. The original "road trip" drama, this classic television series was one of the most highly rated of the era, establishing the Corvette as an American icon.
