Last week we
passed along the release date,
December 8th, for
Rescue Me - Season 5, Volume 2 on DVD. This morning Sony Pictures Home Entertainment officially announced the title, confirming that street date and the $49.95 list price for a 3-disc set running 447 minutes (which is what we previously reported). Now we have a number of new details to give you, plus the package art!
Episodes 12-22, which is the remainder of the fifth season (and which includes guest stars Tatum O'Neal, Maura Tierney and Patty D'Arbanville), will be presented in anamorphic widescreen video and English 5.1 audio. English subtitles and closed captioning are also included, as are a number of extras. Those bonus features with the cast and producers, per the studio info to retailers, will include an after-hours roundtable with the cast titled the "
Rescue Me Dysfunctional Family Dinner," a Gag Reel and a featurette titled "Setting the Backfires of Season 5." The trade ad shown at bottom also mentions that it will include all 11 original minisodes, too. Also from the trade ad is the package art, which we've got a close-up of for you:
