PERSON OF INTEREST stars Jim Caviezel, Emmy Award winner Michael Emerson and Academy Award nominee Taraji P. Henson in a crime thriller about a presumed dead former-CIA agent, Reese, who teams up with a mysterious billionaire, Finch, to prevent violent crimes by using their own brand of vigilante justice. Reese's special training in covert operations appeals to Finch, a software genius who invented a program that uses pattern recognition to identify people about to be involved in violent crimes.
Using state-of-the-art surveillance technology, the two work outside of the law, using Reese's adept skills and Finch's unlimited wealth to unravel the mystery of the "person of interest" and stop the crime before it happens. Reese's actions draw the attention of the NYPD, including homicide detective Carter, and Fusco, a cop whom Reese uses to his advantage. With infinite crimes to investigate, Reese and Finch find that the right person, with the right information, at the right time, can change everything.
This past September saw the CBS network's debut of the show co-starring Emmy-winning Lost actor Michael Emerson along with Jim Caviezel (2009's The Prisoner, Passion of the Christ). Now Amazon has begun taking pre-orders for Person of Interest - The Complete 1st Season on DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc formats. These listings are prior to the official Warner Home Video announcement for the items, though, so instead of a street date Amazon only says "This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives." Pricing is available, however, currently showing $59.98 SRP for the standard DVD and $69.97 SRP for the Blu-ray (you can, of course, guarantee your copy right away at a discounted price, if you order it using either of the above links). There are no other details available so far at Amazon's entries, nor cover art (just temporary promo art for now). Stay tuned, of course, and we'll update you further on this title, just as soon as we find out anything more! Our thanks to one of our readers, John Horn, for letting us know about these listings.
