From Possessed Ears to Wooden Teeth Seeped in Human Blood...
LATEST MASTERS OF HORROR RELEASES
FROM ANCHOR BAY ENTERTAINMENT
The Parts Come Together September 18, 2007
TROY, MI -Starz Home Entertainment wants you to bear witness on September 18th to two new Masters of Horror shockers: Peter Medak's "The Washingtonians" and Brad Anderson's "Sounds Like." The latest DVD releases from Season 2 of the Emmy(TM) and Saturn(TM) award-winning anthology promises a feast of sights and sounds not soon forgotten! SRP is a paltry $14.98 for each
From the director of Session 9 and adapted from Mike Driscoll's short story, "Sounds Like" stars Chris Bauer ("The Wire," "Third Watch" 8MM and The Devil's Advocate). Listening is a way of life for call center supervisor Larry Pearce (Bauer). His days are spent monitoring hundreds of tech support phone conversations, his ultra-sensitive ears attuned to every nuance of voice and sound. But ever since his young son's tragic death, Larry's hearing has slowly intensified. With hearing bordering on the superhuman, he must now contend with simple noises magnified into a cacophony of torment. As Larry begins to lose his grip on reality, he takes violent action to quiet the deafening clamor. In a world where nothing screams louder than the madness of grief, how far will one man go to obtain absolute silence? Laura Margolis co-stars in a tale of psychological terror, where The Conversation meets The Tell-Tale Heart!
Peter Medak (The Ruling Class, The Changeling) directs "The Washingtonians," which sheds new (bloody) light on American history. When a grisly secret that has been kept for more than two centuries is in danger of exposure, a group of homicidal historians will stop at nothing to keep loose tongues from wagging...Johnathon Schaech (That Thing You Do) and Saul Rubinek (Unforgiven) star in this gruesome tale about the discovery of a Revolutionary War artifact that suggests George Washington's famed wooden teeth hungered for more than just liberty. Schaech also wrote the teleplay, adapted from Bentley Little's short story.
