Within the past few weeks the following e-mail has been circulated by the Lucy-Desi Museum's website:
    Dear Lucy-Desi Fans:

And now...something we've all been waiting for...

For years, fans have asked about the availability of "
Here's Lucy" (Lucille Ball's third weekly TV series) on home video.

We're happy to report that plans are underway for a special "
Here's Lucy" DVD boxed set to be available sometime next year. The Lucy-Desi Museum Gift Shop will be offering it through our online store at www.lucy-desi.com (once it becomes available).

No other specifics are available yet. As soon as more information is provided to us, we will share it with you.

The museum, for those of you who aren't familiar with it, is run out of Lucy's hometown of Jamestown, NY and participates in many events in the area. So they should be particularly in-the-know. However, information cannot be found about this on their website, other than this post in their forums which confirms the e-mail's existence.

If it's more details you want, though, then
LucyFan.com is up to the task:
    Here's Lucy Goes DVD

    Lucille Ball's third television series,
Here's Lucy is not only celebrating its 35th Anniversary this year -- it is about to make its debut on DVD. Yes, a three-or-four disc boxed set, "The Best of Here's Lucy" is now in preparation, and will be released during 1st Quarter, 2004.

The series, of course, starred Lucy with her two real-life children, Lucie Arnaz and Desi Arnaz, Jr., with ample assist from Gale Gordon. The show ran for six seasons (144 episodes), 1968-1974.

Among the classic shows that will be included in the set is "Lucy Meets the Burtons," in which the wacky redhead cavorts with Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. Also to be included in the set are "bloopers and out-takes" from some of the shows. We will keep you updated as to when the set will be officially released.

As will we! Stay tuned for more information; we'll get it to you just as soon as it's available. Our thanks to Robbie Sager and to Ben for helping us bring this news to you.
