A few weeks ago we
passed along word from the MJQ.net/FiveO fan site that
Hawaii Five-O - The 11th Season (the next-to-last year of the original program) would be coming to DVD on
April 19th. At the time that was a rumor, but now it's been confirmed. In fact, Amazon.com has begun accepting
pre-orders for this title, at a cost that is discounted from the list price of $49.99 SRP. These episodes that originally aired from 1978-79 include guest stars such as Tab Hunter, Samantha Eggar, Rory Calhoun, James Sikking, Nehemiah Persoff, Barbara Anderson, Robert Reed, Robert Vaughn, Tricia O'Neil, Nita Talbot, John Saxon, Paul Williams, Kaki Hunter, Robert Loggia and former-

CORRECTION (2/10): Late yesterday we received word from the PR team for CBS/Paramount, informing us that the release date of April 19th, which was recently provided to retailers such as Amazon.com, turned out to be incorrect information; the street date hasn't been finalized after all. We've also heard from Mike J. Quigley at the MJQ.net/FiveO fan site, which originally had that date a few weeks earlier, and he's hearing the same thing from his "spies": that April 19th is no longer accurate. The studio has requested that we update our story with the correction, and hopes to get us the actual street date just as soon as possible. In the meantime, we're also passing along to them fan questions about whether or not the music will be complete on the DVD set in regards to song-heavy episodes such as the "Number One With a Bullet" two-parter; stay tuned and we'll let you know what we find out!
