A little over two weeks ago we reported in some detail about Two and a Half Men - The Complete 2nd Season: a glitch in Warner's system had revealed some advance plans for that release, and even a bit about the third season release. We knew Warner wouldn't be happy about the info being spread before they were ready, but since other sites began passing the word immediately, we made sure that our readers were also filled in. It's a fine line to walk, knowing that these are not finalized plans, and that the info on them can change. And change they did: Warner informed us very quickly that the date we had seen, December 4th, was not going to be the actual street date.
This morning we've found out from reliable industry contacts that the street date Warner is soliciting retailers for is January 8th. The planned cost for this 4-DVD set is $44.98 SRP, and it will include the 24 episodes along with the same bonus material we previously reported on. Here's a recap of that info, including box art at the bottom:
Welcome back to the Harpers' Malibu beach house, home to one of the funniest TV comedy hits in a long, long time. Bachelor Charlie's trying (but not very hard) to remember the name of the girl currently taking a shower upstairs. And Alan, Charlie's divorced, uptight brother, who's proud to have been named the San Fernando Valley's Chiropractor of the Year. And Jake, Alan's 11-year-old son, who's happiest with a juice box in one hand and the TV remote in the other. After a year of living together, the guys have figured out how two and a half men equal one family. Sort of. But there are plenty of hilariously rough spots along the way. And you'll share them all in this 4-disc collection that includes all 24 episodes of the series' smart and sparkling second season.
