A couple of weeks ago CBS/Paramount announced the January 8th plans to release Gunsmoke - The 2nd Season, Volume 1 on DVD. At the time we had virtually no info, but now we've learned that this will be a 3-disc set with 20 episodes on it (there were 39 total in the second season, so the remaining nineteen will presumably all come out on volume two at some point). Running time is 526 minutes, and cost is $36.99 SRP. However, you can pre-order from Amazon for $25.89 as of right now. The cover art is now available, too!
