As giant fans of
Futurama ourselves, we've been anxiously awaiting word from Fox about the release of the final box set for this series.
Futurama - Volume 4 looks like it's coming out on
Tue., Aug. 24th, according to the
Fox TV-DVD consumer-oriented website. Here's a picture taken from the site's "Coming Soon" list:

The Fox publicity group so far hasn't distributed the official press material for this set, though, so we don't have any more to tell you right now other than that date. And, to be fair, we need to point out that the dates on the Fox TV-DVD site has been the unfortunate victim of errors from time to time, which you can see in our
Angel - S4 news. However, we don't have any reason to doubt the Aug. 24th date at this time...so go ahead and pencil it in on your calendars!
Mmmmmm...to finally have on DVD the "Where No Fan Has Gone Before" episode, guest-starring the heads and voices of most of the cast of the the original
Star Trek series. We're excited, are you? Our thanks to Jaime Weinman for the heads-up about this. Stay tuned, and we'll have details and cover art just as soon as we can get our hands on it.
