We
reported a few weeks ago that
December 18th is the release date for
Futurama - Volume 7 on DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc, according to a pair of
Amazon.ca pre-order listings at the time. These Canadian listings have since been updated to show no date at all; they now just say "
This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives." This is probably just because Fox didn't want the big e-tailer spilling those beans before the studio formally announced the schedule. The title could move dates, of course, but right now we think it's probably a good bet that the schedule will hold firm.
Those Canadian Amazon listings also now show package art for this title, featuring Decapod 10's fabulous physician, Dr. Zoidberg. The same art is seen at Amazon's USA listing for the Blu-ray Disc version (see button link below), where it's up for pre-order with a $39.99 SRP. The DVD listing isn't findable at Amazon.com just yet, but there's no doubt it will be there sooner or later, so stay tuned. Our thanks to reader Jacob Hoppis for the heads-up!
