A short time ago this morning, we
posted news from reader Waldo Larson, who has been in contact with HIT! Entertainment and provided excellent details of some upcoming
Jim Henson Presents Mother Goose Stories DVDs. Waldo also had some wonderful new details for us about another upcoming DVD from HIT!, this time about the Fraggles!
As we
mentioned a few weeks ago,
January 4th will see the release of
Fraggle Rock - Vol. 2: Dance Your Cares Away. Since that time, this item has become available to
pre-order at Amazon.com, where it shows a list price of $16.99, but will let you advance purchase the disc now for just $11.89! It will also be available in most major DVD retailers in the USA and Canada, we're told.
Waldo also tells us about the 3 episodes that are the main feature, plus bonus items including a 4th episode (unlocked by winning a trivia game), and another episode from the 1987 cartoon version of
Fraggle Rock. Here is Waldo's rundown:
- "Boober Gorg" (from Season 4) - After being hit on the head by an exploding radish, Boober gets amnesia and thinks he's a Gorg. When he tells Ma and Pa Gorg, they believe him, because they think a sorcerer has changed Junior, who is missing, into a Fraggle.
- "Blanket of Snow, Blanket of Woe" (from Season 3) -
Mokey's made too many promises, and forgotten most of them; the most serious of which was to knit a new tarpaulin for the Trash Heap before
the first big snow.
- "Inspector Red" (from Season 5) - The Fraggle Horn is missing, and Red tries to find it, accusing many along the way.
- Bonus features for "Fraggle Rock - Dance Your Cares Away" DVD are:
- Fraggle Rock Animated Episode: "No Fraggle Is An Island"
- A Fraggle Rock trivia game that unlocks a bonus episode
- Behind the Scenes of Doc & Sprocket
