Our great friends over at The Muppet Newsflash website posted a terrific new report yesterday afternoon. It's time to coincide with today's 25-year anniversary of Fraggle Rock, and you're gonna love the news: the final 24 episodes of the series is coming to DVD later this year!
According to the report, the series was aired in "five seasons", due to the way HBO put together the broadcast schedule, but it was actually produced as four different production seasons, each with 24 episodes. So DVD studio HIT Entertainment has been releasing these according to the production order and grouping, making this next set - Fraggle Rock - Season 4 - the final one that needs to be released.
The report also says that, as before, extras will be included on this release, and should include a "new batch of interviews and other behind the scenes content". We encourage you to head over there to read all the details. HIT and distributor Fox Home Entertainment are currently planning to release the set in the Fall 2008 timeframe.
