had the word about Fox's
December 22nd release of
Family Guy - Something, Something, Something Dark Side on both
DVD and high-def
Blu-ray Disc. This morning the studio has passed along to retailers additional info about this title, including extras, and we've got those new details for you!
The official running time is 44 minutes for this special episode that spoofs
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. The DVD is presented in 1.33:1 full screen video, with English 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound. Subtitles are available in English, French and Spanish. The cost is $22.98 SRP in the USA and CA$25.98 SRP in Canada. Bonus material includes:
- "Something Something Something" Pop Up Video
- The Dark Side of Poster Art
- Animatic Version of the episode
- Deleted Scenes
The Blu-ray Disc version contains the same on-disc supplements, but adds a second disc with a Digital Copy of the episode as an additional bonus. Although in 1080p high definition resolution, the video is still formatted to a 1.33:1 picture. Audio is English 5.1 DTS HD Master Audio, and there are English subtitles as well. The cost of the Blu version is $29.99 SRP in the USA and CA$32.99 SRP in Canada.
