In a move that will remind fans of some
Battlestar Galactica DVD releases, Universal Studios Home Video has informed retailers that they will sell the third season of
Eureka in split-season sets, as befitting the show's 2008-09 broadcast schedule on the Sci Fi Channel (soon to be renamed "SyFy"). Today, retailers were informed that
Eureka - Season 3.0 will come to DVD on
June 30th, a short time prior to the the begin airdate for the second half of the 3rd season (episode airings start back up again on July 10th).
This will be a 2-DVD set with 8 episodes, running approx. 350 minutes. Episodes will be presented in anamorphic widescreen video, with English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround audio and English subtitles. Cost will be $29.98 SRP. We don't have package art so far (stay tuned for that), but we do have the list of bonus material to share with you:
