Happy Thanksgiving to all of our USA readers! Our holiday gift to you this fine Turkey Day, and for tomorrow as well, is a cornucopia that's stuffed full of rumors about TV series that are new to DVD on Paramount/CBS's 2007 slate. But for today, we're sort-of concentrating more on returning favorites. One of these is a fan favorite:
Dynasty!
Back in January of this year, we
reported that this month (Nov. 2006) the rights to this popular prime-time soap would revert back to Paramount/CBS, where they were previously held by Fox. That being the case, our industry sources tell us that the studio is wasting no time with their new-found rights, and have tentative plans to bring the 2nd season of the show, which was the first with Joan Collins in it, out on DVD in the first half of 2007!
Please remember, though, that this should be treated as a rumor, and that no formal announcement has come from the studio yet. Everything's subject to change, so take it with a grain of salt until it becomes official. Stay tuned, and we'll let you know when and if that happens!
