Dynasty - Season 4, Volume 1 DVD Set's Release Date Announced

Plus specs and other early info for this April release

Posted by David Lambert
Spelling Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment have announced this morning that Dynasty - The 4th Season, Volume 1 will be coming to DVD on April 7th. This new set will contain the first half of the season, which includes the episode "Carousel" with appearances by former President Gerald R. Ford, former First Lady Betty Ford, former Secretary of State Dr. Henry Kissinger, and real-life oil tycoon Marvin Davis.

Davis, along with his wife Barbara and daughter Nancy, appear because in real life they are the ones who were throwing Denver's annual Carousel Ball event, depicted in that episode. Davis was the chairman of the Davis Oil Company, and it is said that his friend Aaron Spelling loosely based the Carringtons on "Mr. Wildcatter" (Davis) and his family. The late Mr. Davis also notably owned, at one time or another, the Pebble Beach Golf Course, the NFL's Denver Broncos, and 20th Century Fox.

Running just under 11 hours long, this DVD collection will present its episodes in full screen video, with English Mono and Spanish Mono audio and subtitles available in English and Spanish. No other details are available yet, nor is package art, but stay tuned and we'll keep you updated!
