Just a few days before Christmas this past year, we had the scoop that Paramount Home Entertainment's June 17th release of Dynasty on DVD would be "Season 3, Volume 1," effectively splitting the third season of the show into two halves. This means that the classic "lily pond" fight between Alexis and Krystle, seen in the next-to-last episode of the third season called "The Threat," wouldn't be making it onto DVD until the NEXT collection gets released...at some unspecified time in the future!
In early March the studio made it official, formally announcing Dynasty - Season 3, Volume 1. They confirmed our information about both the release date, and that the 3-disc set would contain only the first 12 episodes of this season. They also had front cover art for the package on that same day, but only now are we getting our first look at the back of the box.
But wait...they've "gone too far," episode-wise, with the pictures displayed on the flip side! Yes, as you can see below, the middle picture along the bottom clearly shows the aftermath of Krystle's and Alexis' little romp in the pond...from an episode later on in the season, and not found in this collection. Wow, we can only imagine that some consumers will be a tad upset if they see this shot on the rear cover art and buy it, but don't find that favorite episode included on the discs inside. Whoops!
