TVShowsOnDVD site founder and webmaster Gord Lacey is hanging out at the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas this week, attending the Entertainment Merchant Association (EMA) show there. He's found out that HBO Video and distributor Warner Home Video are planning a DVD release later in 2008 for
Deadwood - The Complete Series. It compiles all three seasons into one package that resembles a big book, with cardboard "pages" that the discs slide into (similar to the complete series releases of
Sex and the City or
M*A*S*H, if you're familiar with those). The "book" slides into a "windowed" slipcover. Despite the glare in the room, reflecting off the glass case, Gord managed to snag a decent picture of the proposed package (below). Stay tuned for more info, just as soon as HBO/Warner finalizes things and makes their formal announcement!
