After the
Valentine deluxe DVD release was
announced earlier this week, Warner Home Video has swiftly moved to release the details of their second
Peanuts special on disc:
It's The Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown: Remastered Deluxe Edition. Here's the studio synopsis:
Everyone’s favorite Easter classic, re-mastered in an all-new Deluxe
Edition! The Peanuts characters prepare for Easter morning, when, according
to Linus, the "Easter Beagle" will arrive and hand out Easter eggs to
everybody. Includes newly created extras, and a bonus episode, in a package with a new updated look that still maintains the integrity and feel of Classic Peanuts.
The bonus episode mentioned wil be "It's Arbor Day, Charlie Brown," which was also included in Paramount's original DVD release for
Easter Beagle. New to this disc, though, is the documentary featurette "In Full Bloom: The Peanuts At Easter." This piece explores how Charles M. Schulz included universal themes in his work, including the importance of faith (of all types and beliefs) to most people, and how that sort of faith was reflected in his Peanuts characters.
The Emmy-nominated special returns to DVD in Warner's newly remastered edition on
February 19th, at a cost of $19.98 SRP. Here is what the package will look like:
