Looking around the internet, fans of Showtime's series which stars Jason Isaacs ("Lucious Malfoy" from the
Harry Potter films), Jason Clarke (upcoming
Public Enemies) and Annabeth Gish ("Monica Reyes" of
The X-Files) might be left wondering whether or not last December's third season finale is the end of the show, or if it would be renewed for a fourth season. Various websites that cover such things either don't say, or talk about opportunities that the cast might have in other programs, or just use words like "on hiatus" and/or "fate to be determined."
But apparently Showtime and Paramount Home Entertainment are settling the matter with today's DVD announcement of the 3rd Season set. They are titling it "
Brotherhood - The Final Season." Yes, that's the officially provided title of this release. The street date is
September 22nd, with a price of $42.99 SRP (but you can
pre-order from Amazon at a discount; it's been listed there since February). Video will be anamorphic widescreen. Audio options include English Dolby 5.1, English Dolby 2.0, and Spanish mono. Running time is 426 minutes. Stay tuned for package art, and other further details we might find out.
