This past Saturday we
wrote about the commercials many of you had seen on the Cartoon Network, advertising a possible "Wal-Mart exclusive" release of
Ben 10 - Secret of the Omnitrix on DVD today (
May 20th). While I personally haven't seen the box myself yet, I've now spoken with several people who have "eyeballed" it...including an employee at the store closest to where I live, who saw it in the backroom and knew it would be put out with the rest of this week's new releases. It is indeed in Wal-Mart stores today, even though there's still no listing for it at their website. Prices apparently may vary a bit by location, but it ought to be under $15 for, well, probably all of you. So head on over and check it out!
UPDATE: Reader Scott Aparo confirms that he bought his copy of
Ben 10 - Secret of the Omnitrix at Wal-Mart this morning just after 7AM in his time zone. He paid $9.96 at his location, but confirms that there is no bonus material mentioned on the box. Speaking of which, Scott took a pic of the package using his iPhone, and sent it to us. It shows a big sticker confirming that this release is available "Only at Wal-Mart". Thanks to Scott for the great work!
