Originally produced as a television mini-series (based on the books by Swedish author Jan Guillou), and then re-cut into theatrical films for audiences in other countries, the previous DVD and Blu-ray releases of Arn: The Knight Templar reflected only that edited version of the story. Now eOne Entertainment has announced a June 5th release of Arn - The Knight Templar: The Complete Series on DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc!
Both versions are 2-disc sets with "over 40 minutes of Behind-the-Scenes Featurettes." The DVD edition comes with anamorphic widescreen video, audio in 5.1 Dolby Digital, and English subtitles, for $29.98 SRP. The Blu-ray version is presented in 1080p widescreen video, with 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, and English subtitles, for $34.98 SRP. Audio tracks are described as "English/Swedish/Arabic/French/Latin."
