The episode "Batmunk" has been on DVD before, courtesy of the 2007 release titled "
Alvin And The Chipmunks - The Chipmunks Go To The Movies." But with a new film,
The Dark Knight Rises, hitting theaters in mid-July, it's not surprising that Bagdasarian Productions wants to re-release this episode as the focus of a new single-disc, inexpensive ($14.99 SRP) DVD release titled
Alvin And The Chipmunks - Batmunk. Amazon.com has
a pre-order listing for this title, showing a shipping date of
July 10th...just ten days before the new film hits theaters. Package art isn't available yet, nor any info about what other episodes might be included on this 66-minute-long disc.
