It's been almost a year since Funimation
released the DVD versions of Samuel L. Jackson's animated mini-series,
Afro Samurai. Now we have word that the Director's Cut version of this release is coming to Blu-ray Disc later this year!
Details weren't made available yet, but in a very early heads-up sent to Canadian retailers, a distributor advertisement advised them not to miss upcoming info about a Blu-ray Disc release of
Afro Samurai - Director's Cut. The release date given (which is subject to change, and could *maybe* turn out to be different in the USA) is
August 26th. This kind of early advice did not include pricing, box art or extras; it could still possibly be weeks before we see all of that. But stay tuned and we'll bring that info to you just as soon as we can!
