New York, NY; December 28, 2011 - Soap Classics President Mark Yates today confirmed that the company will release its first set of Guiding Light classic episodes in mid-January of 2012. The set will be similar to the company's blockbuster release of As the World Turn episodes. It will contain 20 handpicked episodes, divided into four categories: Great Weddings, Secrets and Scandals, Villains and Vixens, and Springfield Through the Years.

Included in the set will be such all-time favorites as "Quint and Nola's Wedding" and "Roger Thorpe's Demise." The set will include appearances by such stars as Reva Shane, Clarita Bauer, Don Stewart and many others.

Stay tuned for additional news about the collection and its contents, coming soon.

About SoapClassics
At SoapClassics, we're passionate about classic daytime dramas. We've made it our mission to preserve and distribute as many of them as we can, so that fans both old and new can enjoy and appreciate them for many years to come. We started with As the World Turns, 20 Classic Episodes and Christmas in Oakdale. We hope to be releasing DVD and online collections of episodes from many more of the great American soap operas, including Search for Tomorrow, Another World, and more.

Our first collection contains 20 classic episodes which aired on As the World Turns between 1979 and 2010, when it ended its run on CBS. These programs are authorized releases, which have been digitally remastered from the original network tapes, and contain every minute of the original content.
