This past February we passed along a press release announcing that the classic comedy series I'm Dickens, He's Fenster would come to DVD "later this year" (2010) in what was described then as "a special tribute DVD." Fans of the show, which starred John Astin (The Addams Family) and Marty Ingels (The Dick Van Dyke Show), and was created by Leonard Stern (Get Smart), objected at the time to the idea that the DVD plans might be for some sort of "best of" release, rather than the show's entire 32-episode run.
TV Time Machine Productions, which is releasing the program on DVD, has listened to this and adjusted their plans accordingly, pushing the schedule back to 2011 in order to deliver every episode in two separate releases with sixteen installments each, all digitally remastered, plus extras that include commentaries, the previously-reported on-camera interviews with creator Leonard Stern and director Norman Abbot, and more. TV Time Machine Productions has supplied us with the following statement about their plans for I'm Dickens, He's Fenster - Season 1, Volume 1 and I'm Dickens, He's Fenster - Season 1, Volume 2. Underneath that is a teaser trailer for you to enjoy!
