Early last month (February) saw the
DVD and
Blu-ray Disc release of
Stargate Universe - 1.0, the first half of the first season from the new incarnation of the long-running franchise. When will fans see the rest of the show's rookie year? One of our readers found the answer, and let us know about it!
Michael Madson gave us the heads-up (and the wonderful scans that we turned into the graphic below; thank you VERY much!) that the March/April 2010 issue of
The Official Stargate Magazine (#33) has an article on Page 9 that covers last months' home video release. The write-up concludes with this nugget of info about both "
Stargate Universe - 1.5" (we presume that will be the title, anyway) along with early plans for a
Complete 1st Season as well (emphasis on the dates is from us): "
The next release, featuring the remaining 10 episodes, is out on July 13, with a season one box set following in 2011." We'll mark it on our calendar for now, and wait for the official studio announcement to confirm (not that we have doubts, but still early plans can often change and dates can move). We expect these to come in both DVD and Blu-ray formats, at least at this time. Stay tuned!
